This position will assist the Iowa DOT, Location and Environment Bureau with location studies for future Iowa DOT projects. Work in the Location Section of the Bureau will include support of our engineering and planning staff including but not limited to:

• analysis of crash and safety data, 
• analysis of roadway conditions for study areas, 
• collect/coordinate/modify ArcGIS data and maps, 
• basic report preparation, 
• data entry work, 
• administrative work,
• preparation for meetings, including Power Point presentations.

Completion of at least two years in civil engineering or related field (e.g., construction, environmental, materials, structural of transportation engineering). Related academic interests include: structural, or transportation engineering at an accredited four year college or university with eligibility for junior status upon return to school.
