Come support the state of Iowa by assisting customers who have health conditions that may impact their ability to drive a vehicle.  The Iowa Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division has an exciting opportunity for a paid, full-time or part-time internship in the Driver Fitness program to help evaluate and resolves situations when a health condition impacts a driver.

You will gain first-hand experience in understanding how medical conditions impact everyday lives for individuals.  You will assist customers to navigate the different requirements, examinations and medical records and documentation that may be needed to support full or restricted driving privileges, or to assist customers when a condition does not allow them to drive.   The intern will be supported by full-time staff and managers as well as other customer service staff.

Please view this brochure for background on how medical conditions impact driving privileges: https://iowadot.gov/mvd/driverslicense/Driver%20Fitness_WEB.pdf.
