The Iowa DOT is seeking a qualified student to fill an internship position with the Employee Services Bureau, located in Ames, IA. The purpose of the Training and Development intern is to collaborate and assist the Training Specialist and Iowa DOT managers. The student will gain experience in Human Resource areas by assisting with employee training, new employee orientation, and recruitment efforts.
This intern will also be responsible for performing customer service functions such as handling employee questions, request, and problem-solving issues.

Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an accredited four-year university and pursuing a degree in Business, Management, HR, Psychology, or related field
- Full or part time student in good academic standing
Duration: The successful candidate will work full-time (40 hr./week) in the summer and part-time (approximately 15-20 hr./week) during the fall/spring semester, providing the student has not graduated.
Salary: $14.86/hr
